EN 471 1 2
Workwear with this classification falls as an overall class of garment within the first class of standard EN 471, which sets requirements for high-visibility clothing. The degree of safety is determined with the degree of visibility and reflectivity. On reflectivity, clothing with this standard falls within class 2. The higher the classification, the more fluorescent and reflective materials are present. Standard EN 471 1-2 states that visibility clothing (in combination of several garments with an amount of reflective material) is suitable for providing extra visibility within operating situations with low collision and accident risk. In addition, it can be worn along roads with a speed limit of 30 or 50 km/h, for example by traffic controllers. High visability workwear that carries the EN 471 1-2 standard, in combination, falls within the first two classes of certification.
