EN 342: protection against cold
Certified workwear according to EN 342 provides good protection against cold conditions. The standard marks an environment as cold when the temperature is below -5°C. This is measured by air temperature, humidity and wind.
EN 342 specifies requirements and test methods for overalls and two-piece suits. The standard does not include specific requirements for cold protection equipment for your feet, hands and head. Keep in mind that this does require protection at temperatures below -5°C.
