EN 471 2 2

The EN 471 standard indicates the degree of safety high visibility clothing provides based on fluorescent and reflective materials that the garment contains. The EN 471 2-2 standard states that the overall class of a garment falls within the second certification of the general safety standard. This makes it suitable for road work in twilight conditions and along public roads (where a maximum speed limit of 50 km/h is applied at most). This type of visibility clothing is also often used in courier services. The bottom number you see in the pictogram indicates the degree to which the reflective material actually reflects. Workwear with this standard is certified in class two in this area. Class two is most commonly required within professional (work) situations. Most workwear will therefore fall under and comply with this. With this standard, both the overall class and the reflective ability fall under class two.
