Safety shoes class S2

Safety shoes can be divided into five S classifications. Each class defines the minimum and specific requirements that work shoes must meet. Thus, one class may have more or different requirements than another. It is characterised by the S coding. This S stands for 'Safety' and implies that the shoe must meet the standard of Safety Shoes, or safety shoes.

S2 safety shoes are basically the same as S1 safety shoes, and so they have at least a safety toe cap, energy-absorbing heel and are anti-static. It also makes them suitable to wear in dry conditions. In addition, S2 safety shoes are enhanced by the requirement that they have increased resistance to water penetration. Safety shoes with this standardisation are therefore also suitable for use in damp/wet working conditions or in places where it can get damp, i.e. outdoor work.
