EN 14126: protection against infectious agents

Standard EN14126 lays down performance requirements and test methods for protective clothing against infectious agents. The standard sets requirements for the material and quality of protective clothing to protect the wearer from harmful substances and infectious agents.

These include small organisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi that can cause infectious disease in humans. Protective suits that comply with the EN14126 standard provide adequate protection of the skin against infectious agents and limit the spread of germs.
